Increasing Online Engagement and Communication
The center will need to develop new strategies to enhance online volunteer engagement, including the use of social media, email campaigns, and digital marketing, in order to reach a broader community and raise awareness about volunteer opportunities. We especially need to create a strategy to more effectively engage young people—high school and university students—in volunteer activities. We need to understand which forms of online tools they use and find attractive, and how to approach them through these channels. Additionally, we need to know what steps to take to achieve a sufficient number of followers. This year, we are also launching a national volunteer database. How should the campaign to increase the number of users be conducted, and what actions should we take throughout the year to ensure the database remains a dynamic tool that truly helps match organizations with volunteers.
1.Targeted Engagement Strategies: The proposal should include specific approaches to effectively reach and engage young people, particularly high school and university students, in volunteer activities. It should outline how to identify and leverage the online platforms and tools that are most popular and appealing to this demographic.
2. Online Tool Utilization: The solution should detail the types of online tools and digital marketing techniques that will be employed to attract and retain young volunteers. This includes understanding their preferences and ensuring that the tools used are accessible and user-friendly.
3. Follower Growth and Retention: The proposal must present a clear strategy for building and maintaining a substantial online following, with measurable goals for increasing engagement and interaction with the target audience over time.
4. National Volunteer Database Activation: The solution should provide a comprehensive plan for the launch and promotion of the national volunteer database. This includes strategies to drive user adoption, ensuring that the database remains an active and effective tool for matching volunteers with organizations.
5. Continuous Engagement: The proposal should outline ongoing actions and campaigns that will keep the database and associated platforms dynamic and relevant, ensuring sustained interest and participation from both volunteers and organizations throughout the year.
Our consultations are available via email. We have an active website, Facebook, Instagram, and occasionally YouTube. We do not use YouTube Shorts or TikTok. We are still considering whether to use this tool for outreach. Our website will integrate a database on the Growni.sk platform, which we will primarily use for the Banská Bystrica region, where we operate. In the past, our database was connected to the online application DOBROapka (2018-present), which was available for both Android and iOS, but its impact among young people was minimal, and the maintenance costs were extremely high. The entire graphics of this app are drawn from the connection to our web database. After transitioning to Growni.sk, it will be deactivated.
