Save the Children
Save the Children is an international organization that since 1919 struggles to save children’s lives, ensuring them a beIer future. The main commitment of SCIT is to respond to the crisis threatening an entire generation of children, safeguarding the progress on children poverty, nutri(on, child survival, education, aIained over the past 30 years.
The program we will focus on is called Volontari per l’Educazione (Volunteers for Education), an online volounteering project .
The goal is to sustain the learning, and the mo(va(on of children and teenagers aged 9 to 18 enrolled in the Italian school system, in order to strengthen their educa(onal and rela(onal skills and avoid the early school dropout. Each volunteer, properly trained, will be tutoring ONLINE a single child/teenager or a small group of children/teens, helping them improving and achieving their educa(onal goals.
