Online Leskit

Positive Minds created an teaching toolkit specially designed for children in group 7 & 8, the bridge class, and VMBO. It contains various books and assignments for six lessons, with which children not only learn about poverty, but also improve their reading skills. Every pupil will find something in the box that suits her or him.

The Leskit has shown to be a great success, being available in 40 municipalities already. At the same time, the Leskit is a physical product which both benefits and hampers its spread and use. The Leskit focuses on generating understanding about poverty in all children, the main beneficiaries are the children and families experiencing poverty.

What do we need?

In the spirit of the Leskit, how could we create an online focused offering / experience which 1) is able to generate in a group setting the same essence of understanding, while 2) being an exercise in developing digital skills and claiming their rights? Both naturally without emphasizing differences between the groups of children and fostering class-wide understanding.

  • Applicable to children ages
  • Interactivity
  • Fostering class-wide understanding of the issue
  • Increasing digital skills – also related to exercising rights
