Loredana Manasia is an Associate Professor at POLITEHNICA Bucharest with a passion for innovative learning and pedagogy. With over 15 years of experience, she’s driven by a mission to boost students’ skills using experiențial pedagogies and hands-on methods. Loredana heads the LEARNINNO Center, an incubator for educational innovation, where she helps students and educators bring fresh, entrepreneurial approaches to the classroom.

Her research is all about understanding how people learn, especially through visual and expressive methods like Photovoice and velfies. She’s led exciting projects that blend education with real-world impact.

Her dedication to advancing research extends to policy analysis, where she has contributed to national and international reports on topics such as university social responsibility and open science. Her work bridges theory and practice, emphasizing the impact of innovative pedagogies on educational equity, particularly through her service-learning initiatives, which engage university students with vulnerable communities, fostering interest in STEM disciplines among younger generations. A champion of diversity and open science, Loredana has helped shape educational policies and mentored master’s and PhD students. Through her service-learning projects, she connects students with local communities, sparking interest in STEM and empowering the next generation of learners.
