I’m Valentina Furino, a primary school teacher and member of the Postgraduate School “Educare all’Incontro e alla Solidarietà” (EIS) of the LUMSA University in Rome. I recently graduated in Design and management of socio-educational, training and media education services. The study on digital education and through digital has allowed me to understand how media are important partners in the development of learning and in the overall growth path. I believe in the acquisition of knowledge, skills and abilities through an active learning approach and, for this reason, in my dissertation and in some research, I wanted to explore the link between the pedagogy of Service Learning, which allows learning through service, and digital: e-Service-Learning. In an ever-changing social context, combining digital and service-learning in my academic training allows me to understand how didactic-pedagogical action can bring young people, citizens not only of the future society, but of the present one, closer to a sense of community, to reflection on everyday actions and to responsibility towards the world we live in.
