Poverty: talk about it in class with our interactive teaching box!
Did you know that an average of 2-3 children in every class grow up in poverty in The Netherlands? It is a difficult but important subject that we want to make discussable in an accessible way. Positive Minds created a teaching toolkit. With our teaching kit, teachers can address poverty in class while promoting reading.
What’s in the toolkit?
Our teaching box is specially designed for children in group 7 & 8, the bridge class, and VMBO. It contains various books and assignments for six lessons, with which children not only learn about poverty, but also improve their reading skills. Every pupil will find something in the box that suits her or him.
